Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s cricket career starts
Vaibhav was later selected in the India B U-19 team for an Under-19 quadrangular series in Mulapadu, Andhra Pradesh in November 2023.
Also featuring an India A team as well as U-19 teams from Bangladesh and England, the tournament was essentially a process to select the Indian team for the ICC U-19 World Cup 2024.
Opening the innings, Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 41 against England, a duck against Bangladesh, and eight against India A, which was not enough to secure a place in the final squad.

During the match at Chepauk, Vaibhav, then just 13 years and 188 days old, brought up his century in just 58 balls, making it the fastest century ever recorded by an Indian in junior Tests and the second fastest overall.
His century, which included five sixes and 14 fours, was second only to England’s Moeen Ali, who hit 56 balls against Sri Lanka in 2005.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi is also in the Indian squad for the upcoming U-19 Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
